Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Information Systems Manager, will be responsible for the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware and software used within Nakisa. This is a hands on position and includes Internal IT infrastructure such as network, servers, backup systems, Nakisa Private Cloud as well as system such as, MS-Dynamics, MS-SharePoint and other 3rd party tools.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day to day activities of a team of IT staff including technicians/analysts and support specialists, Web developer
  • Evaluating the functionality of current and new systems
  • Consulting computer users to ascertain needs and to ensure that systems meet user or project requirements
  • Ensuring adherence with software licensing laws
  • Testing and modifying systems to ensure consistent and reliable operation
  • Managing secure network access for remote users
  • Keeping up-to-date with new technology and upgrades of the software
  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems such as MS-CRM, MS-Dynamics
  • Knowledge of scripting such as shell, Perl, PHP is an asset

Qualifications

  • Relevant industrial experience (particularly experience gained within the fields of project management, technical support, systems upgrades or computer operations).
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT skills and employment-based experience
  • Degrees in subjects such as computer science/studies, information technology or software/computer engineering
