JOB OVERVIEW

Manager (IP NW Security) responsible for IP Core / Metro ethernet network operations, designing, configuration and optimization of multi-vendor-based infrastructure as well as installation, testing and commissioning of Core and Edge equipment components of the AAA/ BNG/ BRAS up-gradation. Managing and handling TAC team for provides technical support for fault resolution.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

•       Network design & implementations of multiple vendors solution from M/S Huawei, Juniper, Cisco, Nokia-Alcatel-Lucent having various components including MX480 Core routers, ME60-BRAS, E320 / E120-BRASs MX480-BNG, Nokia-7750-SR/7-BNG, and Metro ethernet routers CX600-X16, MX960, MX480, MX240, with Google Global Cache (GGC) node and QWILT Cache CDN I

•       Designing and planning for migration of IPs from public to private domain for access network NEs as well as IPTV services.

•       IP Core / Metro ethernet network capacity planning & optimization.

Perform Configurations & Resolve Faults:

•       Configuration of IP MPLS/ISIS MP-BGP IGP/EGP LDP, RSVP, VPLS, L2 VPNs, L3 VPNs  on Core and Metro ethernet equipment

•       Design & implementations Tele-Presence (TP) / WebEx Cisco Solution

•       Responsible for Broadband & Narrowband/VoIP configurations on Core / Metro devices. Handles O& M of IP Core / Metro Ethernet.

•       Responsible for configuration PTCL & Ufone Packet Switch (PS) Core synergy routers connectivity with IP Core / Metro Ethernet routers.

•       Performs fault analysis & reporting of faults to concerned teams and resolving integration issues for PTCL & Ufone Packet Switch (PS) Core synergy project on Core / Metro Ethernet.

•       Solute integration issues of OLTs/MSAGs in NTP. In additional, formation of new fiber access rings and rehabilitation of allied copper network fault resolution. Resolves broadband & narrowband/VoIP issues in aggregate OLT, MSAGs, MSANs, and DLSAMs.

Coordination & Provide Technical Support:

•       Co-ordinate with transmission, switching, DWDM, NMS, SDS teams for day to day fault resolution and development activities. Also coordinating with GM Tech team for resolution of temperature related issue on remote metro sites and for physical maintenance of equipment air filter.

•       Provide technical support to BZ, BB, TXN, SDS and switching teams regarding BB, NB/VoIP and IPTV level issues as well as IP Core and Metro ethernet level issues. Monitoring the performance of daily network traffic through use of Cacti, Solar-wind, Nagios, MRTG and PRTG graph.

QUALIFICATIONS/ COMPETENCIES

Education: Advanced degree in Computer Sciences / IT / Engineering

Expertise: 5+ years of experience
